George Nemphos

Member of the Advisory Board – Secretary

Mr. Nemphos is the chair of Duane Morris’ Corporate Practice Group and the managing partner of Duane Morris’ Baltimore office and the Corporate Marketing Partner for the Corporate Practice Goup. He is also a member of the firm’s national governing Partners Board. Prior to joining Duane Morris, Mr. Nemphos worked closely with both private equity/venture funds and entrepreneurs. He has led a team of lawyers representing a private equity fund in its acquisition of Captain D’s Restaurant chain; represented various specialty retail chains; Active Day, Inc’s acquisition of the Almost Family adult daycare division; as well as a multitude of other acquisitions. In addition to several other companies, he currently represents one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of lacrosse wear, an unique and innovative shoe company, a new outdoor apparel company focused on fall sports. On a personal note, Mr. Nemphos also has deep operating experience in the areas of Branded Goods and Fashion through his work with his family owned businesses.
