Activant Capital holds first close of latest Activant Ventures II fund with $63.5 million

Activant Capital, a Greenwich, Connecticut growth stage venture capital firm, has held the first close of its latest fund, Activant Ventures II, at $63.5 million.

According to a Form D filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, 13 investors participated in the offering of Activant Ventures II, LP. The final target of the fund is $150 million, FinSMEs reports.

Activant Capital is led by its founder and partner Steve Sarracino. The firm’s investment team also includes Andrew Steele, Peter McCoy, Trent Herren, Ian Lawrence and Brian O’Reilly.

The firm invests in growth-stage software, commerce, Internet of Things, data services and internet businesses globally.

It’s portfolio of retail investment NewStore, RetailNext, Shopkeep and The New Stand.
