Betabrand receives $6.5 million from Venture Capital Firm Foundry Group
Betabrand, based in San Francisco, California, announced its newest success after the introduction of its scanner-proof underwear and executive pinstripe hoodies. The company managed to raise $6.5 million from venture capital firm Foundry Group.
The startup focuses on designing and releasing new inventions every week on its online platform and considers itself the home base for Cordarounds, Dress Pant Sweatpants, the Disco Hoodie, Bike to Work Pants and many more never before seen clothing items. The website represents “fun” and is appealing to those who like to think outside of the box, just like many of their design are and in addition to that, consumers can also in a model competition to join the company as an “instant Betabrand model”. Betabrand is planning on using the new funding to expand its product line to 5-10 new products every week.
Betabrand is a startup based in San Francisco, California and was launched in 2009 by Jared Graf and Christopher Lindland.
