You've seen this before: your friend walks into a room with a fabulous outfit on and you're captured by how amazing they look, then you look down and see a clunky plastic strap-on cast on their leg. It kills the whole mood. Christina Daves wanted to fix this awkward sight after she broke her foot in 2010. You’ve seen this before: your friend walks into a room with a fabulous outfit on and you’re captured by how amazing they look, then you look down and see a clunky plastic strap-on cast on their leg. It kills the whole mood.

Christina Daves wanted to fix this awkward sight after she broke her foot in 2010. She began designing wraps for her boot to dress it up or down and CastMedic Designs was born.

Her product has caught on quickly and she has been recognized as one of 200 Leading Moms in Business by StartupNation.com, and  has showcased the leg accessories on the “Today” show and  the “Steve Harvey Show” recently winning “Steve’s Top Inventor” Competition where representatives from InventHelp and Hillshire Brands each awarded Ms. Daves $10,000 of seed money to assist in furthering her product line.

The Virginia based company offers close to 60 products to choose from including faux fur wraps, decorative “socks”, flowers, and themed buttons for children with names like “wrap-its”, “strap-its”, “click-its”, and “sock-its”, a wide array of options to make one’s foot and leg look fashionable after they have broken it. So next time you or your friend break your leg you won’t have to worry about how bad your cast is going to look with your outfit!
