Sears is breaking borders down and entering a new market with a new home brand. Available in 800 Sears stores along with sears.com in September 2012, the company is collaborating with Bonnier Corporation’s Outdoor life. Together the brands are creating a line of outdoor and sportswear for men. The brand is targeting the “All-American” guy who loves fishing, hunting, hiking, skiing, and anything that has to do with the good old outdoors. Website Uses Live Streams to Analyze Foreign Color Trends
For all of us out there who waste precious early-morning minutes, or even hours staring blankly into our closets hoping desperately that the trendiest clothes and accessories for the day will jump out and end the agonizing misery that is outfit selection; fret no longer.
If color choice is your problem, your prayers have been answered by new website Color Forecast. This website, created by European clothing retailer Pimkie, analyzes the trendiest color of the day is in fashion capitals Paris, Milan, and Antwerp. The website features live streams of a popular street in each of the cities, which captures people and differentiates them from other objects based on movement. The images are then analyzed in another screen, which shows the movement of the people with the color they are wearing against a black screen. The third screen displays what the most popular colors at the moment are after analyzing the data captured. “It collects the clustering of moving colors, you have to sort these buckets by order of importance — their quantity, brightness and saturation,” explained Pedro Cruz, the application’s visualization designer.
