FashInvest Attends New York Couture Fashion Week

Designers Dazzle the Audience with Innovative and Traditional Design

This year’s New York Couture Fashion Week, which was held at New York City’s historic Waldorf Astoria Grand Ballroom was all the rage! Audiences experienced an incredible showcase of luxury and style with designers from around the world. The event provided works from a variety of artist displaying fashion paintings, vendors and performances from both domestic and international musicians and singers.

The fashion show was a very star-studded event. Again there was a very strong international presence. There were a series of collections shown, which consisted of jeweled garments, French-inspiration and futuristic patterns and trims.

There were two collections that caught my eye, LaureLuxe Metal Couture by Laurel DeWitt and Femme Bijoux by Tiffany McCall.

Laurel Mae DeWitt is the designer and creator of the LaureLuxe brand. A native New Yorker, Ms. DeWitt has a youthful creativity and craftiness that can only be described as fantastically bold. Her drive is to continuously evolve and push all boundaries. To her, metal knows no limits.

Femme Bijouxis inspired by precious jewels, delicate luxuryavant-garde French Lace and Italians Silks. The designs have feminine silhouettes and elegant styles with high quality fabrics.

It was great to see such a mixture of traditional and innovative fashion, as pushing the envelope and stepping outside the box is very critical in the fashion industry.
