Fashion Week Recap: “Forever Young” Forever Mesmerized Viewers

Stacy Igel and Lockerz ‘Buy Now Wear Now’ Hit the Runway

As the show began, the two viewers in front of me typed in the Lockerz URL for the Boy Meets Girl® boutique. Presented by Stacy Igel, Lockerz, Bollare, and sponsored by numerous cosmetic, food, and electronic companies, “Forever Young” not only put on a show but broke ecommerce boundaries.

Igel has a presence that brings energy of positivity and creativity. Her hard work was seen through the amazing show that had music produced by Wyclef Jean with performances including Chris Cab and Jarina De Marco. Igel’s line is a mix of hipster style with a punk rock edge. Igel was inspired by Bob Dylan and Joan Baez’s love, music, and passion which was portrayed through the music, ambiance, and clothing.  Along with numerous goodies and handbags for the attendees were sponsorship stands that gave the show a celebratory feel. Not only were we celebrating Igel’s designs, but the strong bonds of Boy Meets Girl® and their numerous friends in the industry.

The production of the show was different than others. Igel hand selected models in an online contest to walk for her show. She also teamed up with celebrity friend and actress, Rosario Dawson. Together the two worked with the Lower East Side Girls Club and had a handful of girls follow Stacy and Rosario “Behind the Seams” the day of the event. Both presented a charisma and genuine joy for their teamwork.

As Chris Cab opened up the runway for the Boy Meets Girl® Models, Lockerz live-streamed the show and gave Lockerz users the ability to purchase the items as soon as they walked down the runway. In a matter of seconds, Stacy Igel’s hard work was put to sale for and her ecommerce sales broke New York Fashion Week Boundaries. Being at the show was amazing, but for the ecommerce community, Lockerz, the show was an entrance into the industry bringing both companies to a new competitive level. Congratulations on a night of ecommerce stimulating success.
