HaulerDeals Partners with StyleSaint to Launch Local Socialite in Hopes to Build it’s Social Commerce
The Birth of Local Socialite
Social shopping is at an all time high. Companies like HaulerDeals recognize this and are trying to stretch the possibilities of what they can do with it to its full limit. They just announced in partnership with StyleSaint the launch of their new brand, Local Socialite, a new exclusive in-house fashion brand curated by YouTube personalities Hauler Deals and StyleSaint deem ‘socialites’.
HaulerDeals is a network of YouTube personalities, mostly young women and has more than 5 million subscribers and a billion video views on its video network. The videos the YouTube personalities create are ‘hauls’, featuring large amounts of clothing and accessories that the personalities buy at a fraction of the normal price. Their job is to show their viewers tips on how to score deals on clothing and accessories just like them. The site features the style choosings of popular YouTube personalities like Dulce Candy and xSparkage and the ‘style gurus’ also post links to those styles so viewers can buy the items they saw in the videos.
The new site will feature on-trend clothing, accessories and jewelry. And in addition, HaulerDeals, ‘Style Gurus’ will promote and sell items from the Local Socialite collection and will choose their favorite items to highlight on their YouTube channels, a new model for making money from YouTube, that is not linked to advertising, but rather, money being made by recommendations of these fashion influencers.
StyleSaint is a site that makes its reader their own fashion editors, or a “Style Saint’.
As part of the site’s global ‘Creative Collective’ StyleSaint encourages it’s uses to ‘tear pages out of a magazine” and post images that inspire them on their profile essentially creating their own ‘”fashion magazines” and three times a week, the site posts content aimed at helping readers get dressed in the morning by featuring runway trends, street style, guides on how to style the latest trends, and DIY tutorials.
HaulerDeals discovered that while it was able to push sales of brand merchandise suggested by its gurus, clothing that included the guru’s name had higher conversion rates among it’s users, so the site will not only make money from partnerships with existing fashion brands, but they will actually be making money from its own brand of clothing.
The pairing of HaulerDeals and StyleSaint seems to be a compatible match when it comes to drawing in shoppers from influential internet personalities, so the partnership should prove to be a lucrative deal in the future and with its new model for social commerce, HaulerDeals takes the next step by creating clothing that leverages its haulers’ own personal brands, a move sure to make their shoppers happy.
