Information Builders Named as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant

Information Builders was recently positioned in the “Leaders” quadrant of the firm’s Gartner’s “Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms.” This is based on the evaluation of the company’s WebFOCUS BI solutions suite, a flexible, fast and scalable BI and analytics platform that helps organizations use information to their competitive advantage by empowering more people to make better decisions.

Founded in 1975, Information Builders helps organizations transform data into business value. Their software solutions for business intelligence and analytics, integration and data integrity empower people to make smarter decisions, strengthen customer relationship and drive growth. Tens of thousands of leading organizations such as Elavon, JOC Group, Time Inc and more rely on the business to be their trusted partner.

Not only was Information Builders chosen for the position for their quick services, but they also had great operational employees and external stakeholders – their customers, suppliers and partners.

Organizations can create an analytics-driven culture to improve business performance, using information to innovate and transform processes and share insights and relevant data to deliver more value to customers and partners with the improved management of their growing data assets.

WebFOCUS allows users of all types and skill levels to explore and analyze data in the way each is most comfortable. Content is integrated by the solution to allow all users to explore trends, patterns and causes for change while data is added in an ad hoc fashion into the organization’s systems. It is fully integrated with the company’s iWay Integration and Integrity Suites to allow companies to seamlessly merge and cleanse date from disparate sources for more accurate insight.

The company’s BI capabilities are also optimized for several mobile platform – without device-specific coding – ensuring that users can access and manipulate information with their preferred device with the same functionality they enjoy in the office.

Gartner’s inquiries and survey data suggest that, increasingly, companies would like to expand use and even standardize on date recovery platforms for their larger enterprise BI deployments, but find that in many cases these platforms lack the necessary enterprise features in relation to governance, administration and scalability among other things, according to a spokesperson for the company.

“As data discovery becomes increasingly important, our customers will benefit from the way we’ve incorporated it into the WebFOCUS platform, so they don’t lose the benefits of the platform when they expand data discovery to more uses,” Gerald Cohen, CEO and founder of Information Builders, said.

To accelerate the time of value and ROI of BI solutions, Information Builders recently launched InfoApps, which are highly scalable and interactive BI apps that are focused on a specific business problem. They use Active Technologies to offer viewing on any computer or device and can support tens of thousands or more permutations of the data, enabling ad hoc querying and analysis that helps users get the answers they need quickly – and delivering the same results to everyone who uses a given InfoApp.

“Information Builders continues to gain recognition for high customer satisfaction and part of that comes from our ability to support some of the largest BI deployments in the world with the highest number of users per administrator,” Cohen said.

  1. I’m shocked by your headline. The missing article “a” makes it sound like Information Builders is “the leader”. In fact there are 9 other “leaders” that are more worthy of that title, and even Tableau, which actually is “the leader” only refers to itself as “a leader”.

Very poor form in my opinion.
