Looking for a unique gift this holiday? Jewelry designer Madhuri Parson has partnered with Macy’s Herald Square to launch, MADU, an affordable boutique line of jewelry.
Parson, who launched her namesake luxury brand in 2011, spent a year talking with Macy’s executives and designing her line MADU, which officially launched November 18 at Macy’s Herald Square flagship in New York.
“My goal for this collection was to reach more people ,” Parson says. “Macy’s is the perfect place because it’s such an international store.”
According to Parson, since the launch MADU has been flying off the shelves. The collection, which features semi-precious stones set in 18 karat yellow gold-plated sterling silver, is more boutique and not as diamond-heavy as the collections normally found in fine jewelry.
Her inspiration for her first collection came from the lotus flower and a ring she had designed for her luxury brand.
The collection features on trend pieces like a pair of ear jacket earrings, which come adjustable. Her pendent necklaces are also adjustable and can be worn on their own or paired with another necklace. Each piece of jewelry is whimsical yet completely wearable.
Parson says she wanted to make the line versatile while still incorporating unique flourishes that make her original brand so covetable. Above all, MADU is made for women by a woman who knows and loves jewelry.
While the line is currently sold exclusively at Macy’s Herald Square, Parson says MADU will be available at Macys.com in the spring. The designer also has her sight set on Macy’s in San Francisco.
