Poshmark just launched its newest shopping feature, Posh Now, to send the app’s super shoppers alerts the moment their favorite sellers list new items.
Now, on Poshmark’s main feed, shoppers will see a real-time lookbook of sellers they follow who have added new merchandise in the last twenty-four hours. By clicking on the Seller Stylists profile, the latest products listed for sale are shown to the consumer.
After Seller Stylists upload photos of available items onto their app profiles, they can promote the products through special sales and events advertised to their followers, which they gain through the app.
The need for live in app updates became apparent when one of the app’s very famous Seller Stylists, Ashton Kutcher, launched his closet for sale. Within seconds Kutchers merchandise sold out, leaving many customers unaware of the sale.
Manish Chandra, the founder and CEO of Poshmark, saw the demand for a more real-time connection between sellers and said he thought Posh Now was the best solution.
“As consumers adopt the live sharing trend across social media platforms, we realized the incredible demand from the Poshmark community to also engage in real-time to build deeper connections around personal style,” Chandra said in a statement. “Posh Now allows any Seller Stylist to instantly share new inventory as soon as it is live, enabling customers to have a more connected shopping experience every time they open the app.”
