ShopInterest Announces Investment from 500 Startups

Sell Your Pinterest Board via ShopInterest

E-commerce platform ShopInterest has announced an unknown investment from 500 Startups. The funding was given to ShopInterest from Mexican.VC (which has been acquired by 500 Startups).

As the e-commerce industry continues to thrive, this is a smart first investment for 500 Startups. Not only has ShopInterest received funding, but will also get mentorship from 500 Startups and Mexican.VC. The funding will be used to enhance features and prepare for this year’s holiday season.

ShopInterest allows merchants to turn their Pinterest boards into stores in minutes. To start using the site, sellers request an invitation to start an account. When the account is activated, they can choose the pin boards on which their listings are displayed, add prices and descriptions for their products they want to sell, and specify start and end dates for their listings. ShopInterest has three founders, Francisco Guerrero, Liang Haung and Tommy Hodgins. Francisco is a serial entrepreneur, with over 10 years of marketing and business development experience. Liang is an engineer, bringing over 5 years of software development experience to ShopInterest. Tommy is a creative designer, with over 8 years of UI/UX design experience.

Stay tuned for more on this transaction!!
