Style.com in Arabia? Yes, you read that right! The digital fashion powerhouse has just partnered with Nervora to launch Style.com Arabia to deliver quality, digital fashion media to the Middle East.
Fairchild Fashion Media (FFM) President and CEO Gina Sanders and Shashi Menon, chief executive officer of Nervora, lead the launch of the Dubai based site that will officially launch in October in both English and Arabic. This marks the first time the site will be given to readers in a different language and the first time Style.com will be able to expand its reach beyond North America and Europe, making it the only Conde Nast fashion or beauty title with presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
FFM, a division of Conde Nast, includes WWD (Women's Wear Daily), Style.com, FN (Footwear News), NowManifest, Beauty Inc., and Fairchild Summits. Style.com, a Fairchild Fashion Media brand launched in September 2000, gives its global audience an insider’s look into the world of fashion. The site is essentially the bible for fashion lovers taking them deeper into street style, the front row and backstage at fashion shows and to the after parties designers host to celebrate their work.
Headquartered in Dubai, Nervora was founded in 2009 and is at the forefront of teaming up with leading digital brands to reach readers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region across a portfolio of exclusive publishers including Hearst Digital Media, CBS Interactive, Gawker Media, and Viacom.
Although the Editor in Chief of Style.com Arabia has not yet been announced, fashion obsessives in the Middle East should be excited for the sites content that will include a varied selection of original fashion news and uniquely curated coverage of runway shows, trend reporting and street style photography tailored to the region.
There has been an active search to build on Style.com Arabia’s team so if you're looking for a job and you're willing to move to Dubai this is certainly a promising career move.
