Simply put, FashInvest was David’s baby. The company was literally conceived in a Startbucks back in 2009 and under David’s guidance it was launched in 2010, continually evolving and growing over 5 years. In 2015, David lost his battle to cancer but his vision for the company will never die. As David would have wanted, his passing may have slowed the train temporarily but the tracks have been laid and his vision will continue to shine as it charges forward. Your team will make you proud David.
Erik has managed to find that niche in his professional life that allows him to fulfill two diverse and sometimes polarizing desires; that of the artistic, nonconforming, jeans and t-shirt creative loner and that of the 9-5 suit and tie, build a business from the ground up entrepreneur. As the co-founder of FashInvest, Erik brings over 10 years of creative director experience working on countless media projects ranging from simple print medium pieces to full corporate video productions and everything in-between. As COO of FashInvest, Erik has been given the opportunity to not only use his creative skills to market the company but also immerse himself into the venture and investment capital community. Erik’s biggest influence in learning the in’s and out’s of the venture community has been his co-founder and company CEO David Freschman. Some highlights of Erik’s career include:
- Sits on the board of the Macy’s Philadelphia Fashion Incubator.
- Reviews and provides due diligence of investment of deals presented on the ABC show Shark Tank.
- Graduated with his BSBA from Villanova University with additional course work at the Delaware College of Art and Design. He is expertly skilled in most of the major creative applications including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Apple’s Final Cut Pro. Erik is the father of one and lives his life searching to find the perfect balance between, employee, entrepreneur, husband and father – a challenge he feels blessed to peruse each and every day.
