WearYouWant Plans to Rise Up on Thailand’s E-Commerce Growth
WearYouWant is a Thailand based B2B2C e-commerce site, directed towards fashion. Julien Chalté and Martin Toft Sørensen founded the company in October 2011 after they realized Thailand needed an online platform for retailers to sell their merchandise. The company currently has 15 people on staff and generates revenue by charging retailers a signup fee and by charging commission for every item sold on the site. When asked about why they started the company.
Another interesting thing WearYouWant has done is they have added a drop shipping supply chain. This method allows them to focus solely on finding customers for the retailers on their site without having to worry about logistics problems. Competing sites such as Tmall, Sabuy.com, and Tarad.com also use this method, however WearYouWant feels like they have something they cannot compete with. WearYouWant focuses specifically on fashion, where the competing sites offer a much more broader range of items.
They believe that because they focus on fashion solely, this gives them more of an edge for consumers who are looking to buy clothing. WearYouWant.com is a very user-friendly site and offers a large range of options from retailers such as PEONY and Cotton Brush. They are backed by Digital Media Partners, Asia Venture Group, and other undisclosed investors. No doubt this company will not soon become even more popular in Thailand as they continue to add new retailers and expand the website.

I know they will continue to see growth. This is a great concept of being a community eCommerce store. A lot of retailers don’t have the time or resources to set up an eCommerce store, there are public eCommerce retailers all over that help brick and mortars get their products online.
